With extensive experience in executive leadership and business growth, Matero oversees the company’s strategic direction, ensuring sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. His background includes key roles in finance and operations, where he developed a strong track record of driving innovation and achieving corporate objectives. Under his leadership, AQUALIS continues to expand its impact on water resource management.
Chief Development Officer
Erin Grenz is the Chief Development Officer and leads AQUALIS’ strategic growth initiatives and revenue generation efforts, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals. With a proven track record of driving transformative business outcomes, Grenz oversees sales, marketing, business development, strategic planning and M&A strategy to optimize performance and foster sustainable growth. She is also responsible for the Stormwater Repair and Rehabilitation and Drinking Water operations.

Allen Blackhurst is the Chief Financial Officer for AQUALIS. Blackhurst is responsible for the financial affairs of our organization. He also manages and continually improves internal practices in support of our mission to inspire change by preserving and protecting our nation’s most precious resource: water.
Executive Vice President, Engineering Services
Carrie Bristoll-Groll is the Executive Vice President of Engineering at AQUALIS. Bristoll-Groll began her career as a Stormwater Engineer for the Cities of Milwaukee and Brookfield, prior to founding Stormwater Solutions Engineering (SSE) in 2002. SSE was acquired by AQUALIS in April 2023. AQUALIS’ Engineering Division (formerly SSE) has a team of professionals designing stormwater, green infrastructure, water quality and flood control practices for municipal, transportation, water agency and private clients.

Josh Holecko is the Executive Vice President of Sales at AQUALIS. As EVP, Sales, Holecko supports our national accounts growth as well as our complex projects. Holecko has over 20 years of experience in business development within the B2B service industry. His experience and strategic insight have significantly contributed to enhancing AQUALIS’s market presence and service offerings.

Wade Stafford is the Executive Vice President of Field Services at AQUALIS. He is responsible for the execution of quality services within our Vactor, Stormwater Maintenance and Lift Station teams. With over 30 years of experience in the sustainable water industry, he is a pivotal voice in daily functions.

Jason Abert is the Vice President of Stormwater Estimating and Program Development & Partnerships at AQUALIS. Abert creates and implements best practices for learning and drives the AQUALIS team toward the highest standards for all programs through training and development.
