Durham, N.C. – AQUALIS, the leading national provider of comprehensive water resource management services, announced its first educational and interactive event, the Sustainable Water Compliance Summit, on May 25, 2021, 11:00 a.m. EDT – 4:30 p.m. EDT. Hosted and produced by AQUALIS, this event includes multiple continuing education opportunities, enlightening plenary discussions and active audience participation to help drive awareness and action to improve local, regional and national stormwater and wastewater management as well as our waterways.
The event, set to be held virtually next month, is free to all attendees and set to be a cross-sector event with industry leaders from both stormwater and wastewater professions, including regionalized regulators, influencers, and national compliance leaders.
“AQUALIS is thrilled to provide this thought leadership event to the stormwater and wastewater industries at no cost to participants,” Erin Zaske, Chief Development Officer, stated. “As the leading nationwide water resource management organization, we have a responsibility to provide education to our communities on the urgency of action to stormwater and wastewater assets. Coming together with experts and influencers across the nation allows for us all to connect on what drives us most, protecting our most precious natural resource: water.”
The event consists of two keynote addresses in addition to the planned educational content that includes two tracks of four total hours of Continuing Education credits. The AQUALIS team is pleased to welcome Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington as their opening keynote speaker. Washington is an accomplished and successful environmental epidemiologist, environmental engineer, and environmental industrial pollution on human health.
“Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington is a remarkable addition to this already robust and highly educational event. We are thrilled to have her kick-off our summit with her perspective on the evolution of water management compliance in the country and expectations for the future,” said Zaske.
AQUALIS’ Sustainable Water Compliance Summit is rapidly coming together with new agenda items, speakers and attendees being added weekly. In the upcoming weeks leading up to the event, panel members, additional keynote speakers, and CEU experts will be announced. Attendees are encouraged to register early for updates regarding the full event schedule as the weeks leading up to the summit.
“The response in our first day of open registration alone has been extremely exciting. We plan to host this event annually and appreciate the enthusiasm from the industry in being open to these sessions,” says Zaske.
